PlanFinder is a Netherlands-based startup founded in 2019 by Jeroen van Lith, blending architecture and AI research.
The company addresses how many buildings share design patterns yet require repetitive layout work, offering tools that turn that routine into rapid iteration.
PlanFinder offers plugins and APIs for Revit, Rhino, and Grasshopper that let users generate, fit, furnish, and manage residential floor plans. Given boundary and room requirements, PlanFinder generates multiple floor plan variations, scores them, and lets users compare trade-offs.
The software has a Fit function that matches existing plans to new site constraints, a Furnish feature that ‘instantly’ places furniture and a library for reuse. PlanFinder uses a custom-trained ML model built from real-world plan datasets.
