EDBIM is a platform designed for architects, engineers, and construction companies that combines an ISO 19650 compliant Common Data Environment (CDE) with integrated collaboration tools to manage information throughout the building process.
The platform comprises nine AI-powered modules covering the project lifecycle: Briefing, Tender, Concept, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Production, Site, Testing, and Facility Management.
Each module is a Short Language Model (SLM) focused on its specific discipline. According to EDBIM, this ensures precise and contextualised responses.
With the AskIFC module, for example, users can upload an IFC model and ask direct questions to extract information, from simple metric calculations to geometry validation. For example, do the parapet walls comply with the minimum height requirements of the project?
EDBIM allows companies to connect their documentation, standards, procedures, and best practices directly to the AI assistants.
Based on company processes, the software can generate custom tools to automate and simplify low-value but time-consuming activities: filling out repetitive documents, compliance checking, report generation, communications management, and much more.

The AI Spotlight Directory is published by AEC Magazine in partnership with HP and Nvidia.
