D.TO (short for Design TOgether) is a US-based startup founded in 2022 by architects and technologists envisioning a more collaborative AEC ecosystem.
Designed to bridge gaps between architects, contractors, and product manufacturers, it embeds intelligent design guidance directly into BIM workflows to transform how details get specified and communicated.
D.TO is offered as both web and Revit-integrated platforms. Within the design interface, it delivers contextual diagrams, product recommendations, and component assemblies—streamlining architectural detailing, documentation, and specification from a single, embedded environment.
D.TO analyses your model in real time, flags detailing challenges, and proposes high-performance building assemblies. It allows users to search for products, compare options (including sustainability and peer reviews), and insert manufacturer-specific BIM components on the fly.
D.TO is underpinned by machine learning models that interpret model context to recommend appropriate detailing solutions, detect issues, and assist specification. It’s evolving toward features like design defect prediction and AI co-pilots that actively guide design decisions.
