Founded in 2018 and based in Toronto, Augmenta emerged from a generative design background within Autodesk to tackle inefficiencies in construction workflows.
Specifically addressing wiring, plumbing and eventually MEP, Augmenta looks to digitally wire up an entire building’s electrical components automatically using AI.
Users define basic parameters—panel locations, no-go zones, run schedules, and support rules and let Augmenta’s cloud AI examine multiple layout alternatives.
Each design is clash-free, includes cost and labour estimates, and is ready for detailing or prefabrication. Augmenta’s AI engine blends constraint-aware generative design with rule-based logic and optimization heuristics. It can produce multiple viable alternatives based on code, performance, and cost metrics.
