AI Spatial Assist

AI Spatial Assist is a new AI capability for Resolve, the immersive BIM review platform, that is designed to allow anyone, regardless of BIM expertise, to navigate, interrogate, and review complex building models using natural language.

AI Spatial Assist is available across Resolve’s web viewer and immersive VR environment. It is said to understand BIM geometry and metadata, enabling teams to ask questions, locate equipment, teleport to rooms, and navigate models without relying on technical specialists or complex software interfaces.

Users can simply ask:

• “Take me to the electrical room on Level 2.”
• “Where are the cooling towers located?”
• “Which P&ID is this valve a part of?”

According to Resolve, by making BIM models accessible through natural language, AI Spatial Assist can also enable teams to capture and structure feedback that would otherwise remain siloed or lost.

This could include operational feedback about maintainability, service access, installation practicality, and real-world usability – knowledge that has been earned through experience by facilities leaders, operators, and field teams.
