WayCivil is a browser-based AI-powered tool designed to review civil engineering plans automatically catch errors and save hours of manual QC.
The software is built by engineers for consultants, reviewers, or public organisations (municipalities, dot, state organizations) and can be used on land development or transportation projects with structures coming soon.
According to the company it is based on Civil PE knowledge, is trained with 1,000+ real plans that include real QC mistakes and is compliant with engineering standards.
In terms of workflow, users upload PDF plans, along with any other files they want to check, then add criteria, comments, reference docs, scopes, client/company standards, or examples.
Users then get a marked-up report for review and can ask questions about the results or the project in general. According to the company, the chat is powered by engineering knowledge from PEs and senior engineers with 10+ years of experience.
The software can be customised for specific QC needs, with AI models built that adapt to a firm’s internal review logic or client standards.

The AI Spotlight Directory is published by AEC Magazine in partnership with HP and Nvidia.
