Veras is an AI-powered visualisation tool that integrates with SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, Vectorworks, Forma, and more. It works both as a plug-in and a browser-based tool, enabling users to render from their native model geometry without a separate render export process.
Veras lets users generate photorealistic or stylised views directly from their model context. UI controls like Geometry Override, Creativity Strength, and Style Strength help balance between geometric fidelity and artistic exploration.
Veras blends diffusion-based image generation with BIM-aware constraints. It interprets geometry as a visual substrate and augments surfaces and materials stylized via prompts. This replaces manual render setup with prompt-driven design options that stay within model context.
Recently, the software got the ability to generate short videos as well as stills.
Veras was originally developed by EvolveLAB, a consultancy founded in 2015, which was acquired by Chaos in 2025.
