V-Ray, one of the most respected visualisation tools for AEC which is available for 3ds Max, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, Blender and Cinema4D, now includes several AI-powered features.
‘AI Material Generator’ turns ‘any photo’ into a ‘seamless, render-ready PBR material’, eliminating the usual slow, manual process.
‘AI Enhancer’ automatically adds detail and realism to supporting elements like foliage and people, helping users modify renders without it being a tedious and time-intensive task, and saving a re-render.
V-Ray also uses AI-powered denoisers, like the Nvidia AI Denoiser, for instant noise-free feedback during rendering and faster post-production.
V-Ray for 3ds Max also supports the rendering of Gaussian splats, a technique which uses AI to create a rich 3D scene from a series of photos or videos. The technology enables users to place buildings within their real-world context, or integrate scanned objects directly into the 3D scene.
The AI Spotlight Directory is published by AEC Magazine in partnership with HP and Nvidia.
