Meshtron is Nvidia’s generative AI technology for mesh generation, released through its developer blog in December 2024.
It’s not a standalone application but a research-driven AI engine aimed at improving how 3D assets are produced in fields like CGI, gaming, and architectural visualisation.
Meshtron accepts inputs such as point clouds and generates a polygon meshes with configurable parameters: face count, quad-to-triangle ratio, and creativity level.
It achieves fine control over mesh density and topology, making it suitable both as a remesher and a front-end for generative 3D pipelines. Meshtron generates structured and editable meshes directly. It can produce up to 64,000 faces at 1024-level coordinate resolution.
