Nvidia Omniverse Blueprint for smart city AI is a reference framework designed to help software developers build “simulation-ready” photorealistic digital twins of cities to build and test AI agents that can help monitor and optimise city operations.
The Blueprint combines several Nvidia technologies, including Nvidia Omniverse libraries for digital twins, synthetic data generation, AI model training with vision language models (VLMs) and video analytics AI agents using the Nvidia Blueprint for video search and summarisation (VSS).
Components of the Blueprint are being used in a project for the City of Raleigh in North Carolina. Mapping and spatial analytics company Esri is working with Nvidia to build an AI agent that ingests, analyses and visualises massive amounts of camera data to generate real-time alerts and insights in an interactive geospatial map of the city.
The aim is to enable city operators to efficiently resolve issues, optimise traffic flows and improve infrastructure design.
Other companies making use of Nvidia Omniverse Blueprint for smart city AI include XXII, AVES Reality, Akila, Blyncsy, Bentley Systems, Cesium, K2K, Linker Vision, Milestone Systems, Nebius, SNCF Gares&Connexions, Trimble and Younite AI.

The AI Spotlight Directory is published by AEC Magazine in partnership with HP and Nvidia.
